Do you believe in ghosts/spirits? If you could have the ghost of someone haunt you, who would you want it to be? šŸ‘» . . You guys KNOW I love me some ghost stories, so I was super excited when @bwduffy sent me a free copy of his book, House of Echoes. The book follows a family who moves to a new town and into a plot of land the husband, Ben, inherits and after a rough few circumstances, they’re just looking for a new start. But instead of a positive new start, the family learns that what they inherited has a sinister history that refuses to stay buried. I’m ALL for ghost stories and I can’t WAIT to dive into this book! šŸ‘» . . I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday! We’re so close to the weekend!! We got this!! šŸ™ŒšŸ»šŸŽ‰
If you could travel into any book, where would you want to go? With the weather being so cold, I wouldn’t say no to being transported into a book that takes place in the Bahamas! šŸ˜‚ . . Yesterday was a really bad day for me, but the good thing about bad days is that they come to an end eventually. I’m already feeling much more centered today and in better spirits, ready to ease my way into the day. šŸ’• I definitely wouldn’t say no to a drink though, not gonna lie. šŸ˜‚ . . Let’s get through this workday guys. We got this!! šŸ’ŖšŸ¼
What’s a book you finished awhile ago, but you still can’t seem to stop thinking about? šŸ¤” . . For me, that book, lately, has been The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. Even though this brick of a book has almost 1000 pages, each chapter and each page completely captivated me. It’s now in my top 5 favorite books of all time! If you’re into high fantasy, you should definitely give this one a try and ignore that big book aversion (BBA)! . . Oh, and Happy Monday! 😻
Nothing makes me feel warmer in the winter than a love story, especially when the snow is coming down in large flurries like today. A few of you have asked if I like romantic fiction, and yes I do! I wanted to show off a few of my favorites just in case someone is looking for a rec! . . You’ll probably notice that @tjenkinsreid makes up a LARGE chunk of this list. I love šŸ’• that Taylor writes stories that center on love, but that don’t compromise on a gripping plot that will pull you in immediately. I’m picky when I read romantic fiction because I NEED lots of plot substance and Taylor always delivers for me! šŸ’• . . Christina Lauren and I have a hot and cold relationship, but I REALLY loved Love and Other Words by them. As someone who is a self-described ā€œword nerdā€, this book will give you literary feels! . . P.S. I Love You has a movie adaptation that will NEVER fail to make me SOB MY FACE OFF. It’s love, for sure, but there’s a WHOLE different facet of love that will punch you right in the stomach. 😭 . . The last book in the pile is one that I haven’t read yet, but would be a perfect choice for you to try if you read YA romance. @swoonreads sent me a free copy of Small Town Hearts which is a YA love story that takes place over summer. It comes out in March, so check out the description on Amazon and preorder it if you’re interested! . . What are some of YOUR favorite romantic fiction reads? Do you have any recommendations for me based on the stack of books above that I might like? Let me know!! I’m always open to new love stories!! 🄰
Happy Sunday, friends! Thank you to the tagged publishers for sending some exciting books my way to enjoy! 🄰 . . What are you guys up to today? Today is going to be a nature photography hike day followed by lots of snuggly reading with the doggies. I’ve also really enjoyed my ā€œsocial media freeā€ Sunday days, so after this post, I’m signing off for the day! 🄰 . . Everyone have a great Sunday and l’ll see you soon! 🄰
What is your ā€œreading time beverageā€ of choice? I’m partial to a nice cuppa tea with a splash of milk! 🄰 . . Today will be an enjoyable one, as I am starting my day on the right foot with some cleaning and reading. Making my space cozy and inviting really puts me in the best mood, especially when it comes to reading time! . . I normally write a bit longer captions, but I am READY to read this book, so I’m signing off with a ā€œsee you on the other sideā€! I’ll update you guys in my stories a little bit later about how I’m liking the book, so keep an eye out if you’re interested! 🄰
